The Nun is the main antagonist of the 2018 eponymous Gothic supernatural horror film, directed by Corin Hardy and written by Gary Dauberman and James Wan (being a 2016 Invocation of Evil 2 spin-off, and the fifth movie of the Invocation of Evil franchise). In the story, when a young nun who lives in a convent in Romania commits suicide, a priest with a haunted past and a novice about to take her final vows are sent by the Vatican to investigate the case. Together, they unravel the profane secret of order. Risking not only their lives, but also their faith and their souls, they confront the malevolent force that takes the form of the same nun who terrorized the public in ”Invocation of Evil 2”, as the convent becomes a horrifying battlefield between the living and the dead.
