He formed an alliance with Superman to defeat General Zod and his Kryptonian invader minions. Promoted to Secretary of Defense, he helped the Man of Steel against the monster Doomsday, and after the invasion and defeat of Steppenwolf by the Justice League, he revealed himself as the Martian Manhunter to Bruce Wayne, to warn him of an imminent retaliation by Darkseid and his forces.
